All tree removals require prior approval from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Removal cannot proceed without DNR approval and payment for the assessed timber value, determined after the site visit. Site visits occur three times a year—spring, summer, and fall.  Additional information about the Tree Removal Process can be reviewed here.
